If, like me, you suffer (or delight) in hourglass syndrome, shopping can be a pain. The waists are too loose, the hips too snug, buttons across the chest buckle and pop.
This week I got a Target gift certificate from work, and uncharacteristically shunned the housewares section in favor of the Isaac Mizrahi for Target spring dresses. Because ladies: they're good.
I bought:
- This nautical print cotton dress, which seems like a good choice for my Easter brunch, especially with a cardigan.

- This royal blue frock with half-length sleeves. For the office, naturellement.
I wanted, but did not purchase:
- This envelope-back number. If I had a soirée to attend, this is what I'd wear. More's the pity that no soirées appear on my calendar.
- And the wrap dress looked intriguing, but with this style, I've got to try before I buy. Sometimes the wrapped section isn't cut generously enough and falls open at the most inopportune times. I had a wrap skirt I loved and lost because it flew open two too many times, both instances in crosswalks with opposing traffic.

Best thing? Each dress was $40. No joke.
That's four-tee clams: two lunches, one brief cocktail meeting, two months of Netflix. And for that you get all this happiness!
