A few weeks ago, the lovely ladies at Alison Brod PR sent me the coolest pair of TIGI Rockaholic samples:
TIGI "Rock My World" Stellar Smoothing Cream -- This is a styling cream that you apply before blow-drying. It gives you some hold and a bit of texture. Girls with fine hair, go easy on the stuff, too much will just seriously weigh you down. But used judiciously you get some sweet, smooth fullness. Use a nickle, not a quarter!
TIGI "Dirty Secret" Dry Conditioner -- By now, everyone has tried dry shampoo. This is sort of like that, only totally different.
You know when you blow dry your hair, and it's all ends-out? (Imagine sideways Jazz Hands by my ears.) Not exactly frizzy, but not pretty and finished, either. In this situation, shine spray doesn't help me, and most wax or leave-in conditioner products gum up my fine hair. I liked this spray A LOT for those days -- it gave me Day 2 hair on Day 1.
BUT...
Again, for fine hair, if you use this on the Day 2, or godforbid Day 3, you go straight to Day 4. Lank, not shiny. Consider it a "clean hair" product, unlike dry shampoo which is a "dirty hair" product.
The Giveaway!
Lots of people responded when I tweeted about trying dry conditioner. So when a second set of samples appeared on Monday, it occured to me that this extra set would be a fun prize for one of my beauty product loving friends.

Here's mine:
My Worst Bad Hair Day was the day of my old license photo. My bangs split in a weird place, and a single random piece of hair curled into a one-time-only cowlick, sticking out from the side of my head -- you had to see it to understand how bad it was. Unfortunately everyone who carded me from 2002-2005 did see it, and many of them commented. Bouncers and cashiers! So witty!
It was the longest four years of my life.
I'll pick the winner at random, next Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at midnight PT.
